La Palmyre zoo

The zoo of la Palmyre is the most visited attraction in the department is the zoo amongst the pine forests near to Royan, with more than 1600 animals, many roaming free. There are few better in the world!

Inaugurated in April 2009 after 2 ½ years of work, the Great apes area is the home for 2 groups of chimpanzees, a group of orangutans and 5 gorillas in a 3-hectare complex located in the northern part of the park behind the African plain ostriches, zebras and impalas.

There are shows for visitors (sea lions and parrots).

The Futuroscope

The Futuroscope in Poitiers, which is only 90 minutes from Beaurepaire, is well worth the trip... In the footsteps of Jules Verne, Futuroscope reinvents its journey around the world. Le Château des Enigmes

Located in Pons, 10 minutes from Beaurepaire, le Château des Enigmes (The Castle of Enigmas) is a leisure park of a new kind that allows to visit, while having fun, a magnificent Renaissance castle listed in the Historic Monuments!

During 3h, with family or friends, we invite you to discover the Castle of Usson through a game of track that will plunge you this year in the universe of pirates.

The game course is suitable for 4 years children and older, but it will also entertain adults, for sure

Les Antilles de Jonzac

30 minutes from Beaurepaire, discover les Antilles de Jonzac (the Caribbean of Jonzac), one of the largest covered water parks in Europe. Under its 10,000 m² awning, all the family can slip on its large slide, challenge waves, waterfalls, jets of water and relax in the Roman bath at 35 °.

But also, relax on the sand beaches inside and outside, bask around the outdoor pool and enjoy the games and entertainments (swimming pool from 0 to 2m30 with artificial waves, beach, waterfall, slide, outdoor pool, paddling pool (July/August maybe more depending on the weather). With the beauty institute you are pampered with body and facial treatments using the dermo-cosmetic products certified organic "Jonzac thermal water" that are available on site in the Antilles de Jonzac, in pharmacies and at the Jonzac thermal baths. A wide range of personalized treatments is offered throughout the year.

Lagoon, fitness platform and institute are connected by footbridges, decorated with Creole huts.

The Aquarium of la Rochelle

The aquarium of la Rochelle is one of Europe's largest private aquariums.
